Join the AI4EO Beyond Fellows Program!
The Future Lab AI4EO: Artificial Intelligence for Earth Observation – Reasoning, Uncertainties, Ethics and Beyond” brings renowned international organizations across the globe and a rich number of highly ranked scientists at all levels together to address three fundamental challenges in Earth observation specific cutting-edge artificial intelligence research –Reasoning, Uncertainties, and Ethics. The research carried out in the Future Lab AI4EO will not only advance Earth observation science but also make key contributions for the interpretability of AI and its ethical implications, and towards AI4EO technology transfer.
Going beyond these three topics, through the so-called “Beyond Fellow” program, we now invite PhD candidates and early Postdocs to visit the Future Lab for a period of 3 to 6 months and collaborate with us on all possible innovative AI4EO topics. If selected as a Beyond Fellow, we will reimburse your travel costs from your home organization to Munich, Germany, up to 1,000 Euros and you will receive a monthly stipend of 1,750 Euros.
To apply for a Beyond Fellows scholarship, please submit the following files to ai4eo@tum.de:
– your current CV
– a one-page proposal for the research you plan to carry out during your stay with the AI4EO lab
– if available: a letter of recommendation by your supervisor
– the period of your stay
Candidates will be selected by the steering committee of the Future Lab based on their excellence (as indicated by already existing scientific outputs or grades of the latest academic degree, as well as recommendations by current supervisors) and their innovative AI4EO research topic.
