#AI4FoodSecurity challenge has been launched
The time to bring your best Deep Learning and Earth Observation knowledge has come because the #AI4FoodSecurity challenge is now open!
Agriculture plays a central role globally by providing food for humans and livestock, or material for industrial processes. It is a driver of economic growth and will play an essential role in reducing the impact of climate change and greening our economies. Accurate and reliable agricultural data is therefore paramount to ensure food security and global subsistence.
Organized by Planet, our host institutes at TUM/DLR, and Radiant Earth, the #AI4FoodSecurity challenge will bring together participants from across the world to find the best machine learning/AI solutions for crop identification using Planet Fusion data and Sentinel-1 and -2 data. Hosted on ESA’s AI4EO platform, the challenge will run from 4 October to 19 December 2021.
Engage and compete to win one of the amazing prizes, including two Beyond Fellows Scholarships!
