Welcome Prof. Mou!
We warmly welcome the second guest professor, Dr. Lichao Mou.
Lichao is interested in algorithms for Earth observation data analysis and visual learning and reasoning tasks. His work explores topics in remote sensing, computer vision, and machine/deep learning.
Lichao received the Bachelor’s degree in automation from the Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications, Xi’an, China, in 2012, the Master’s degree in signal and information processing from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), China, in 2015, and the Dr.-Ing. degree from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Munich, Germany, in 2020. In 2015 he spent six months at the Computer Vision Group at the University of Freiburg in Germany. In 2019 he was a Visiting Researcher with the Cambridge Image Analysis Group (CIA), University of Cambridge, UK. From 2019 to 2020, he was a Research Scientist at the Remote Sensing Technology Institute (IMF), German Aerospace Center (DLR), Wessling, Germany. He was also an AI Consultant for the Helmholtz Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Unit (HAICU). Since 2020, he is the head of Visual Learning and Reasoning team at DLR-IMF.
